The story behind Progress Village…
I am Caneeca Key-Ortego and I organized Progress Village as a non-profit charitable organization to partner with, educate and mentor young parents. Personally, as a teenage mother myself I was keenly aware of the challenges faced by young mothers (and fathers.) Through raising my own three children, I was blessed to have significant support and a strong community to help in my journey however, I know that is often not the case for other young parents in our communities. With Progress Village we seek to bridge that gap of support to help young parents grow, learn and impact the next generation in a positive way.
